Our BICS Team

Who we Are & how we help!

Bradford Immigrant & Community Services (BICS) first opened its doors on January 4, 1994. BICS is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing newcomer success, self-sufficiency and community engagement. Through the years we have assisted thousands of newcomers and continue to deliver multi-faceted services that are fundamental to the integration of these individuals to our community. We provide a warm and welcoming environment where newcomers can access settlement and integration services, English language training, information and referral to community services, document translations and commissioning of documents. We also provide limited translation and interpretation services.

Mission

To work together with individuals and the community in co-operation with institutions and service providers, to identify community needs, to develop strategies to improve access to or to assist with the creation of linguistically appropriate services, to provide social assistance, to implement educational programs, and to promote leadership and participation of ethnic Canadians in the institutions of Canadian Society.

Vision

Bradford Immigrant & Community Services will strive to be a leader in support of our ethnocultural community. We will continually improve our services through teamwork, staff and client development. We will be a positive influence on the community through our actions and commitment to the community and the people we serve.

Values

Our primary focus is on our clients – newcomers to Canada – who have come to our community to build a new life. We respect and value the diversity of our team and those we service. We behave with integrity, compassion and empathy to ensure that all persons are treated with dignity.

We're here to help!
